Wyke Wanderers under-11s stormed to a 17-1 cup win at Battyeford in the Huddersfield League.
Sam Wainman and Attah Rehman hit four goals each, with Jake Francis (2), Ryan Clay (2), Ben King (2), man of the match Patrick McGrath (2) and an own goal completing the rout.
East Bowling Allstars under-13s almost pegged back a 4-0 interval deficit but eventually lost 5-4 to Dalton Dynamos. Jordan Hobson and Ebony Benjimen Hall scored twice apiece for Bowling.
The Allstars under-14s made up for their stablemates’ exit by winning their tie 6-2 against higher-ranked Hall Green United.
David Moynihan and Ryan Pogson both struck twice, backed up by Rowan Newman and Thomas Connell, with Ethan Sangster and Aarron Marriss also impressing.
Damian Bailey scored Bradford Hornets under-12s’ consolation goal as they lost 5-1 to Meltham B in the cup. Jack Griffin Hylton was the Hornets’ man of the match.
Wibsey Lions under-14s bowed out at the first hurdle as they lost 9-1 to higher-ranked holders Linthwaite.
The previous week had seen the Lions move top of the league table with a 5-2 win against Batley Phoenix after goals by Scott Morris (2), Connor Rhodes (2) and Josh Thompson.
Meanwhile, Wibsey’s under-tens were comfortable 10-0 winners against Almondbury Lions B in their opening cup tie. Man of the match Owen Khan scored half the goals, backed up by Jacob McLaughlin (4) and Connor Barran.
Khan had scored twice in the previous week’s 4-2 league win against Clifton Rangers C, with Nathan Aylott and Adam Farrell completing the tally.
Reece Clay netted the equaliser as Wyke Wanderers under-eights A team ground out a 1-1 league draw at home to Pudsey. Clay and goalkeeper Ellis Farrar shared the man of the match award.
Wanderers B team keeper Matthew Leaper excelled but could not prevent an 8-0 defeat to the same opposition.
