Bradford City’s David Syers proved inspirational for Nab Wood under-15s in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League – via his team talk!

The injured midfielder dropped in on their Saturday training session and told the youngsters not to give up trying – even though they had lost their first two matches.

The advice proved spot-on as Division D leaders Farsley Celtic were beaten 3-2.

Man of the match Oli Dunne scored two of them, after being set up by left back Jordan Fletcher and right back Amaan Israr.

Nathan Bailey is scoring goals for fun for Undercliffe Celtic under-14s.

Following his four goals in the 7-4 victory at Eldwick, he netted half of their strikes in the 12-5 victory over Nab Wood and won the man of the match award. Philip Byron and Ryan Simpson also weighed in with hat-tricks.

Other goals at Eldwick came from Akmal Khan, Byron and Ryan Holstead. Man of the match was centre half Joseph Chadderton.

Horton Foxes have scored 31 goals in three games and only conceded two in going top of Division 12C.

They carried on their fine form with an impressive 11-1 home win over Eccleshill United, Daniel Dockray gewtting his first hat-trick and other goals being scored by Sam Thomas (2), man of the match Charlie Raywood, James Parkin-son, Jordan Hardaker, Conor Rankin, Rhys Delaney and a first goal in three seasons for Kallum Prajapati.

Bradford Park Avenue suffered their first defeat of the season in Division 13B, going down 7-5 at Horsforth Twisters. On target for Avenue were man of the match Billy Raistrick (3), Daniel Isaacs and Aadil Razzaq, his first for the club. Captain Ewan Pyrah and Luke Taylor also impressed.

In Under-14 Division D, Avenue won 2-0 at Eldwick in a dominant performance, thanks to a bullet-header from Ricardo Maccor and a side-foot finish from Reul Briscoe.

After a couple of disappointing results, Albion Sports under-11s bounced back with a 4-2 victory over BD3 United.

Albion took the lead, Alfie Moulden levelling with a first-half penalty before Haroon Isa gave Albion the advantage again.

Moulden’s fierce free-kick and man of the match Ibby Hussain then scored to seal the deal as skipper Aaron Morris controlled their defence.

Albion Sports under-eights were also in charge of their Keybury League contest against Westwood Jets, but only won 6-4.

Man of the match Joshran Hayer and Jnai Trought put Albion 2-0 ahead before the Jets replied.

Trought then netted either side of half-time and took his tally to five with a brace at the end after Albion’s midfield of Raushan Sandhu, Jayvir Panesar and Casey Breaks put in a good shift, but Westwood netted twice in the final minute.

Unbeaten Wyke Wanderers put 13 past hosts Bradford Park Avenue and conceded only one. Scorers for Wyke were Reece Clay (4), Jack Leach (3), Alfie Cartwright (3), Ellis Farrar (2), Kieran McGuire and Reuben Sutcliffe.

Wyke’s B team suffered their first defeat of the campaign – 1-0 at a strong Rastrick Raiders.

Avenue Raptors under-nines continued their strong start to the season with a 5-1 triumph at Nab Wood. Taylor Williams and Billy Firth put the Raptors 2-0 ahead by half-time and Firth and James Hebb (2) rounded off the victory.

A 20-yard strike from Josh Carr sealed Scholemoor Juniors’ 5-1 win over Albion Sports A, while Scholemoor’s under-tens triumphed 3-1 over Campion with Ethan Allan (2) and Daniel Francis on target.

Albion Sports Tigers won 4-1 at Calverley B, however, man of the match Zain Hussain (2), Mohammed Boston and Joseph Oakes being the goal heroes.

Kyle Murtagh’s hat-trick for Albion Sports Lions gave them a 3-0 victory at Calverley A.

Josh Sharp (2), Joel Etienne (2), James Young and Max Swallow were the marksmen for Queensbury Cougars in their 6-2 defeat of Guiseley Whites, while Alex Gibson (2), Matthew Ham, Dominic Corps and Lewis Moorhouse were on target for Avenue Lizards in a 5-0 romp at Burley Jets.

Avenue Scorpions are hoping their 4-3 win at Burley Rockets will kick-start their campaign, Regan Davidson netting twice in the first ten minutes.

Hamas Khan made it 3-1 and Davidson scored again but it still needed a superb penalty save by Jack Fairlie to clinch the points.

Avenue Hawks are starting to hit their straps and beat visitors Oakworth Wasps 10-1, Jake Taylor leading the way with a hat-trick and captain Levi Bowers adding a stunning brace with efforts from outside the box.

The tally was made up by Leon Marsh-Clark (2), man of the match Kayden Allen, Aaron Nowell and Kieran Sanders.

Wyke Wanderers under-11s notched their first win of the season in the Huddersfield RCD League with a 10-0 scoreline at home to Hartshead.

Goals came from Harry Holmes (2), Sam Wainman (2), Attah Rehman (2), Ryan Clay, Nathan Younghusband, Dylan Silson and an own goal.

Keeper Ben Sutcliffe ensured a clean sheet with a second-half penalty save.

Wibsey Lions under-tens saw off Wyke Wanderers A 6-0, man of the match Owen Khan and Jacob Mc-Loughlin both getting trebles in their first win of the season.

That was also the score in the B team clash, Jack Hewitt-Hill, Connor Kiernan, Nathan Allatt, Khan and Ben Kerwick netting, the tally being made up by an own goal.

Bradford Hornets under-12s lost their first game of the season – a 19-1 thumping at home to Northowram, Damian Bailey getting the consolation goal.
