A total of 180 teams played almost 500 matches in Burley Trojans’ junior five-a-side tournament at the Recreation Ground.
The hosts lifted the under-14 girls’ title and there were also winning boys’ trophies for Guiseley Yellows (under-nines), Horsforth Mustangs (under-11s), Thackley (under-12s), Farsley Celtic Colts (under-13s) and Keighley Shamrocks (under-14s).
Bradford Park Avenue Lizards suffered a last-gasp defeat in the under-nines final against Guiseley Yellows.
They reached the final with a 5-3 penalty shootout win over BPA Lizards, a 2-0 win over BPA Scorpions and a 2-0 win over Otley Black.
Penalties seemed to be on the cards during a tight final until Guiseley scored from a well-worked move.
Results: Boys, under-nines: Guiseley Yellows beat Bradford Park Avenue; Under-tens: Wortley Blues beat Ilkley Juniors. Under-11s: Horsforth Mustangs beat Horsforth Stallions. Under-12s: Thackley beat BD3 United. Under-13s: Farsley Celtic Colts beat Menston. Under-14s: Keighley Shamrocks beat Stanningley Albion. Girls, under-13s: Howden Clough beat Idle. Under-14s: Burley Trojans beat Tingley.
Horton Foxes under-11s finished their season off in style with a 9-0 home win against Hunslet Club Green in Division Three of the Garforth League.
Top scorer Sam Thomas bagged a hat-trick, James Parkinson and Charlie Raywood scored two each and Connor Banham and man of the match Daniel Dockray were also on target.
The Foxes finished third in the table and also reached a cup semi-final.
