Queensbury Celtic’s under-ten girls’ team, which was only formed last September under the managership of Tim Davis, have ended their first season with a trophy.
They defeated Ossett Albion 3-1 in the West Riding Girls’ League Under-Ten Cup final at Battyeford.
After a tense start to Saturday’s seven-a-side decider, during which they went a goal behind in the first half, Celtic hit back with three goals in the second half in what was a brilliant team performance.
All Queensbury’s goals were scored by Louise Collumbien.
The league’s annual meeting is on Wednesday at Ossett Albion (8pm).
