BD3 United under-15s were crowned BRADFORD & DISTRICT FA JUNIOR CUP champions after beating Idle 2-0 in the final.
Idle saw plenty of the ball in the opening 20 minutes but could not break through and BD3 hit back to take the lead through Mohammad Izrar after a fine cross from Mohammad Hamza.
They then doubled their lead before the interval with a good strike by Shohaib and Idle’s fate was effectively sealed when they had a player sent off.
Only some excellent saves by the Idle goalkeeper kept his side in the game but it was man of the match Usman Khan, the BD3 captain, who went on to lift the trophy.
Bradford Park Avenue Eagles under-tens are looking to finish the KEYBURY LEAGUE season strongly now that second place has been guaranteed and did just that at Silsden A with a 7-1 win.
Avenue’s regular keeper Jordan Moorhouse partnered Eisa Faulding up front for the first half, looking for a goal that would mean the whole team had scored this season.
So when a Silsden player handled in the box, it was Moorhouse who stepped up to smash the penalty into the corner.
Ethan Rhodes crossed for Josh Barrett to double the lead and although the hosts then pulled a goal back, Avenue soon stepped up the pace again.
Danny Frost restored the two-goal cushion after the interval and further second-half goals flowed from Finley Power, Jack Holroyd, man of the match Frost again and Faulding.
Runaway league champions Bradford Park Avenue Hawks saw off second-placed Silsden B 7-3.
Levi Henderson-Lee opened the scoring and then turned provider when his cross was finished from close range by Liam Brook.
Leon Marsh-Clark and Kayden Allen impressed out wide and Allen showed his eye for goal again with a good finish after some great skill on the edge of the box.
Henderson-Lee added his second with a header and Brook rounded off the first-half scoring when he got the slightest of touches to a rocket shot by Levi Bowers.
Jack Gilroy and George Wood were as reliable as ever in defence and further Hawks goals followed at the other end from Henderson-Lee to complete his hat-trick and Bowers.
Campion under-nines finished top of their division despite suffering a first loss of the season 3-2 at Guiseley.
It has been a superb effort in their first season of playing together and in league competition.
Campion under-tens also finished top of their section after maintaining their unbeaten campaign by beating visiting Guiseley 4-0.
Goals came from Spencer Gordon (2), Hasnain Mohammed and Moses Coxon.
Bradford Tigers under-14s had a double dose of good news in the CRAVEN LEAGUE.
Firstly they performed a smash-and-grab raid for the second successive week in the Invitation Medal, winning 3-1 at Burley Trojans to put themselves top of their group.
And secondly they discovered, thanks to Sutton defeating Shipley Tigers for a second straight weekend, that they had clinched the league runners-up berth behind Silsden in Division C.
Gage Faulkner (2) and Jordan Kitching got Tigers’ goals in a game that was an example of why playing summer football might not be such a good idea, the ball spending a large proportion of the game above head height.
Meanwhile, Tigers under-15s gave another Jekyll and Hyde performance in going gown 4-3 at Keighley Shamrocks in their latest Invitation Medal game.
Down 3-0 at half-time, Bradford hit back to be 3-3 within eight minutes thanks to goals by Zubair Shakeel, Joe Stewart and match-point winner Eden Phillip (penalty), before a lapse in concentration allowed Shamrocks to get a fourth. A determined home defence then kept Tigers out, the whole team sharing the managers’ match point for their second-half display.
Shabaz Ali scored half the goals as Bradford Park Avenue under-13s beat Silsden 8-2.
It was a man of the match display by Ali but all the Avenue players performed well.
The other goals were shared by Pemphero Kallingama, Ruel Briscoe, Abdul and a wonderful Adam Raj strike, while one Nick Jasper tackle would have been worthy of a professional.
Wyke Wanderers A under-nines gained one win from three HUDDERSFIELD LEAGUE matches and the B team one from two as the club played catch-up from fixtures postponed over the harsh winter.
The A team opened with a 2-0 defeat at Ossett Town A that would have been more severe but for an outstanding display by goalkeeper Cameron Balmforth.
They then lost 6-2 at Shelf A, although the final score was a little flattering.
Only Owen Khan managed to score for Wyke but they were also thwarted several times by either the Shelf goalkeeper of the woodwork.
But Wanderers A had more joy against Challenge with their first victory in six matches as they held on for a 3-2 win.
Charlie Smith opened the scoring and Wyke were soon 3-0 up, before Challenge hit back strongly to test the resolve of keeper Balmforth and defenders Lewis Evans and Travis Wardman.
Wyke Wanderers B opened with a 4-1 defeat at Ossett Town B, their only goal coming from a Balmforth header.
But they then found their shooting boots in a 12-0 romp against Shelf B, which included four goals by substitute Khan.
Evans added a hat-trick and the scoring was completed by Balmforth (2), Connor Barran, Nathan Aylott and Thomas Capstick.
