Bradford United beat table-toppers Shipley Lions 1-0 in what could prove to be the title decider in the Keybury League under-nines Red divison.

This was always going to be a tight game and it was no suprise that it was settled by a single goal.

Shipley were denied by a fantastic match-winning save from Jordan Moorhouse, as he bravely threw himself at the feet of the Shipley striker.

The game was decided with a brilliant strike into the top corner from Kian Hutchinson.

United are now five points behind Shipley but have three games in hand.

Queensbury Celtic under-eights ended Bingley’s unbeaten record, gaining revenge for their only defeat of the campaign – against Bingley back in October – in the process.

Two first-half goals from Josh Sharp clinched victory – the first direct from a corner and the second a fierce shot from outside the box, which went in off the crossbar.

Scholemoor Juniors under-tens clinched the league title in their first season together with two games to spare after a victory against Eccleshill United.

Jimmy Parkinson scored the only goal with two minutes to go and Adam Edmondson was man of the match.

Scholemoor Scorpions under-11s romped to another away win, beating Pool 6-0.

Joe Anderson picked up the man of the match award with two goals, while Josh Collins, Daniel Raj, Dalton Bottomley and Phemelo Ncube were also on target Fairbank under-11s eased to an 8-1 win over Shipley in the Blue division.

A hat-trick from Yacoob Ahmed was accompanied by goals from Mohammed Hussain, Harris Khan, Haroon Rashid, Osama Kaleem and Zubair Khalifa.

Albion Sports under-tens were 4-2 winners at Horsforth Mustangs in a top-of-the-table clash.

The match lived up to expectations, Albion taking the lead with a deft touch from Mohamad Suhail Wajid that crept in at the far post.

Horsforth equalised with a penalty and took the lead just before half-time.

Albion’s increasing pressure told after the break as Izatuallah Ghaznewal equalised.

With legs tiring, Albion scored two late goals from Bilal Tofan and a ferocious 20-yard shot from midfielder Mohammed Hussain.

BD3 Utd under-nines beat Albion Sports 1-0 in a good competitve game of football.

The first half saw BD3 dominate but Tyreece Bleau and Daim Malik stood firm in defence and man of the match Piyush Rana was outstanding in the Albion goal.

In a more open second half, BD3 scored the only goal as, once again, both defences held sway.

Albion Sports under-12s A fought back from 2-0 down against Bingley Juniors to win 3-2 in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League.

A deft header from Adam Hussain and two clinical strikes from Nadeem Khan clinched the points and Aaron Day produced a couple of brilliant saves in the second half.

Albion Sports under-13s drew 1-1 with Shipley Tigers in the Craven League Phoenix Cup.

Albion took the lead with a great finish from striker Zak Khan, who just can’t stop scoring.

Shipley piled on the pressure and equalised after the break in a a fantastic cup tie.

Ismail Rehman and Vinay Herar missed golden chances to win it for Albion, with Tariq Aziz man of the match.

Silsden under-15s Reds had a see-saw weekend but showed their fighting qualities to finish it on a high.

They lost 4-1 to Long Lee on Saturday but responded with a 4-1 win over Sandy Lane the following day.

Luke Wilson grabbed the goal against Long Lee but Silsden were unlucky with a hand ball decision at 2-1. The spot-kick was converted, followed by a direct free-kick to snatch the points.

Man of the match was Chris Rudden.

The Reds came out fighting against Sandy Lane. Within minutes Rudden had scored, quickly followed by a goal from captain Mark Smith.

A great header from Adam Cooper made it 3-0 before Sandy Lane fought back to 3-2, only for Smith to kill off the game with Silsden’s fourth.

Man of the match was Zac Conway.

Kings Park under-13s team are folding at the end of the season and are going out on a high.

They won their final away fixture 11-1 in Division D against basement club Westwood Dolphins.

Man of the match was Gauge Faulkner, who created all six of Liam Musgrove’s goals.

Other scorers were Faulkner himself (2), James Massheder, Sam Lewison and Lewis Ogal.

Keighley Shamrocks, although depleted in numbers, showed their character in beating Bradford Tigers 4-3 in the Under-13 League Cup.

Tigers, who had a squad of 13, agreed to fulfil the game as a nine-a-side fixture in order to get the contest played but they trailed 3-0 at half-time, having played up the slope at Crag Road United.

Goalkeeper Jake Hewitson, who was again Tigers’ man of the match, made an outstanding save to keep the margin at three.

Tigers pulled the margin back to 3-2 and 4-3 but eventually ran out of time as Shamrocks’ fourth goal proved a killer.

Goals for the hosts came from Jordan Kitching (2) and James Townend, Luke Duckett playing well in an unaccustomed centre-half role.

Top-of-the-table Fairbank United extended their lead at the summit of the under-16 C division with a hard-fought victory over Burley Trojans.

Burley took the lead early on through a penalty but Abbas Khan nodded home the equaliser from close range.

The second half saw Hassan Iqbal see his cross-shot from the left sail into the top corner to secure a vital three points for United.

Idle Juniors under-14s A stretched their 11-game unbeaten run in the league with a 9-2 win over Farsley Celtic.

They need just two more points to clinch the title with four games remaining.

Goals came from Leon Wilton (3), Ben Dearnley (2), Josh Whiteley (2), Patrick Cooper and Peter Hartley.

BD3 Utd under-14s beat Carlverley 3-1 with goals from Shohiab Job, Usman Khan and a 40-yard run and finish from Mohammad Wahaab.

United compete this weekend in the Valley Parade memorial tournament at Marley.

Wilsden under-12s lost 5-2 to Oakworth in the semi-final of the Keighley League Liam Daley Trophy.

Luca Zenti – direct from a corner – and Sam Murphy scored the Wilsden goals.

A fantastic performance from Wyke Wanderers under-eights in the Huddersfield RCD League ended with a scoreline that flattered hosts Brighouse A.

Wyke dominated the early stages but a loss of concentration late on saw them leak three goals.

Connor Barran scored a great first goal of the season and Zachary Walsh netted a brilliant strike, while man of the match Owen Khan led by example, but three more goals after the break for Brighouse saw a final scoreline of 6-2.

Wyke Wanderers B came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Brighouse D.

Daniel Gledhill and Nathan Aylott scored the goals, with Matthew Brumfitt’s solid tackling earning him the man of the match award.
