Bradford United under-nines won twice in two days as they followed up a 2-1 Keybury League victory at Bramley Phoenix with a 3-1 home success over Silsden.

United had thrashed Bramley 10-0 earlier in the season but were made to work hard to complete the double after trailing at the interval, goals coming from Ethan Rhodes and first-half keeper Eisa Faulding.

Faulding saved a penalty in the next game to prevent Silsden making it 1-1 and Asa Mitchell’s hat-trick ensured United stayed in the title race.

Bradford United Lizards’ four-match unbeaten under-eights run came to an end with a 3-1 defeat to Shipley Tigers. Haseeb Alam netted the consolation as Bradford also twice hit the crossbar.

Liam Statham and Josh Hall were on target as United’s under-tens lost 3-2 to Grassington, with Asad Farook named man of the match.

United’s under-11s lost for only the third time this season as Fairbank beat impressive keeper Nathan Allatt four times without reply.

Goals from Yacoob Ahmed, Zubair Khalifa, Shabaz Khan and Haris Khan lifted Fairbank top of the table, with Mohammed Hussain also in dominant form.

Scholemoor Scorpions under-11s moved a step closer to the club’s first title as four goals by Phemelo Ncube led them to a 13-3 romp at Leeds Maccabi.

Josh Collins added a hat-trick and was named man of the match, while Bailay Illingworth also bagged a treble. Nathan Taylor and two own goals completed the tally.

Sam Troy was the star player as Horton Foxes under-tens got back to winning ways with a 2-0 success over an improved Otley team.

An own goal opened the scoring and man of the match Troy capped a superb display with the decisive long-range second.
