Idle under-14s extended their lead at the top of the table to five points with a game in hand after a 4-2 win against Silsden in the CRAVEN, AIRE & WHARFE LEAGUE.

Goals from Mohammed Hamzah (2), Tom Hill and Leon Wilton earned Idle a 4-0 interval lead before they eased up in the second half.

Bradford Tigers under-13s left their comeback too late in slipping to a 5-4 defeat at home to Skipton Town.

Tigers trailed 4-1 at half-time, having played uphill and into the sun, with Jordan Kitching scoring neatly after a sublime through ball from Joe Gartland.

But Lucas Clayden’s firm strike gave the players early heart in the second half and, although they conceded another goal, they responded with efforts from Kitching – who cleverly lobbed the keeper – and Gartland from an accurate cross-shot.

Rosie McDonnell was Tigers’ man of the match but they are now bottom of the table as Keighley Shamrocks climbed above them with a 2-1 defeat of Queensbury.

Wilsden under-12s gave their all away to joint-leaders Silsden but two goals by Sam Murphy could not prevent a narrow 3-2 defeat.

The first half was goalless, with Luca Zenti going closest to breaking the deadlock only to be denied when through one on one with the Silsden keeper.

Murphy created this chance and another for Zenti at the start of the second half, while Pip Greetham put another effort over the bar.

Wilsden took the lead when Murphy followed in from Greetham’s initial shot but Silsden then stepped up a gear to score three times before Murphy added his second.

Tariq Aziz was in man-of-the-match form for Albion Sports under-13s but his side had to settle for a 3-3 draw at home to Beeston in the GARFORTH LEAGUE.

Kamron Basi, Ryan Watling and Brendon Masuka netted the Albion goals, while Kamaljit Basi and Adam Chalal both went close to snatching a winner.

Bradford United under-13s let slip a two-goal lead to miss out 3-2 against Hall Green in the HUDDERSFIELD LEAGUE.

Lewis Valter’s through-ball set up Josh Finan for United’s opener and Billy Rhodes doubled the lead with a shot into the top corner.

But Hall Green were level by half-time and went on to seal a memorable comeback victory.

Wyke Wanderers under-eights found hosts Battyeford C too strong as they slipped to an 8-0 defeat.

Nathan Aylott chased hard without having much luck, while Bailey Clarkson kept goal well before showing some good skills outfield.

Bailey Evans was strong in the tackle before taking over in goal, with Mason Evans at the heart of everything and leading by example.

Wanderers A went down 3-1 to Battyeford A in wintry conditions, with Connor Barran excellent in goal before reverting to a solid defensive role.

Ben Boocock was strong in the tackle before keeping goal stoutly and Lewis Evans mopped up most of Battyeford’s attacks.

Man of the match Owen Khan ran hard and created Wyke’s best chances.
