Bradford Boys Under-15s, who had outgrown their kit during the summer, now have a new sponsored strip.
After talks with former Bradford Boys’ player Chris Peltier, joint team managers Saul Peltier (Ilkley Grammar) and Chris Broggie (Oakbank Sports College), who also took the side last season when they were under-14s, were pointed towards Bradford-based recruitment agency Urban Biz.
Their director McMillan Serrant, whose own son represented Bradford Boys on several occasions, agreed to a sponsorship deal for around £700, which included new kit for the squad plus a new training top.
The kit was ready for the first away league game against Wakefield and it helped to spur them to a 3-1 victory.
Since then, Bradford Boys have lost 3-2 in extra time to Preston in the English Schools’ FA Cup after leading 2-0 in what was a superb game.
A number of the squad have been signed up by Bradford City, Burnley or Halifax Town.
Later in the season, Bradford Boys aim to return to an international tournament in Holland, which included professional clubs Utrecht and Sparta Rotterdam in 2008, Bradford finishing fifth out of 15.
