Farsley Celtic under-13s bowed out of the Challenge Cup quarter-final at Garforth Villa in near freezing conditions.

The Celts took the lead through the dangerous Tim Kenway after a mistake from the goalkeeper. A penalty late in the first half saw the sides go into the interval level.

In the second half, Farsley goalkeeper Jack Reed made several fine saves, and captain Luke Kitson and man of the match Harry Stirk defended manfully.

But the pressure told as Garforth took the lead and Celts conceded a third when they were caught on the break.

Bradford United Lizards under-11s had goalkeeper Aidan Garner to thank for ensuring their 6-1 defeat to Campion in the Keybury League was not even bigger.

After letting in three soft goals, the Lizards' Rhys Raistrick pulled one back but Campion added three more.
