Eccleshill United under-16s made it through to the next round of the Huddersfield League Cup as the club's junior section achieved a 100 per cent record from four games.

A battling performance saw them to a 2-1 win at home to Honley as Chris Baines and Ashley Walker found the scoresheet for the Eagles.

They hung on to the win thanks to some excellent work from goalkeeper and man of the match Nathan Smith.

Eccleshill under-eights entertained Long Lee in the Keybury League and, despite going a goal down early on, they battled back to draw level before the break thanks to a strike from prolific scorer Jake Leeming.

United then made a tactical substitution at half-time, with goalkeeper Callum Ellis being switched to an outfield player and scoring two fine goals to give Eccleshill a well-deserved 3-1 victory. Man of the match was given to Joe Powell for his excellent all-round display.

Eccleshill under-nines entertained Fairbank Juniors and played some of their best football of the season.

An excellent performance in defence from Mark Whitford and goalkeeper Pavan-deep Dhesi was the springboard for the hosts to gain an early advantage through Niall Brame.

The scores were level at half-time but a superb second-half hat-trick from man of the match Josh Hill and a further strike from Brame were enough to secure a 5-2 victory for Eccleshill.

The under-13s showed their credentials in the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League Cup with a resounding 12-1 win over Shipley Tigers.

Dannyal Nazir (5) and Issa Muvunyi (4) hit the goal trail, with Kyle Child and man of the match Jordan Nelson also among the goals.

Bradford Tigers under-11s seemed surprised that their second-round tie at Horsforth Cricket Club wasn't called off.

But, on a perfectly playable pitch, hosts Horsforth St Margarets Colts had pace up front and it was anyone's game with the score 1-1 at half-time.

Tigers were allowing Horsforth to win virtually every challenge after goal kicks but, following their stuttering start when Lucas Clayden kept them in the match with an equal-iser, they showed their one-division superiority.

With Jordan Kitching a driving force for Tigers in midfield and Billy Joe Rhodes calm in defence, Clayden got a second, Daniel Marshall added two, including one from the spot, and Lucas Davey also netted.

BD3 United under-14s beat Burley Trojans away 6-4 in the first round, Saeed Hussain grabbing four goals for United.

In the Kebury League, United's under-tens came back from 3-0 down at half-time to draw 3-3 at home to Long Lee.

Naeem Amin helped himself to a brace and M Armaan added a third goal.

Bradford Park Avenue B were comprehensive 10-3 winners over Bradford United Lizards.

Avenue made the most of playing down hill in the first half to run in five goals and could have had more but for excellent defence from Danny Shackleton and Chris Sampson, with Aidan Garner also playing well in goal.

Avenue added another five goals after the break but goals from man-of-the-match Rhys Raistrick (2) and Paul Causley (1) ensured it was not all doom and gloom for the Lizards.

Vision Juniors under-tens A were far too good for their opponents Marsden in the Huddersfield League Cup. Callum Docherty topped the list of hot-shots with four goals in the 10-0 victory. James Dennison and James Morris also fired in hat-tricks.
