BRADFORD United Raptors kept alive their hopes of overhauling leaders Eccleshill United in Division 12B of the Craven, Aire & Wharfe League by surviving a tense final ten minutes against Salts Tigers.
Raptors took an early lead following a determined run from Tom McMahon, with Billy-Lee Firth adding a second goal before an inspired McMahon crossed for Harrison Mercer to nod in the third.
However, visitors Salts scored either side of half-time to set up a nervy finale, only for Firth (penalty) and an exquisite lofted shot by Chris Byron to give Raptors clear water at 5-2.
With Settle United picking up six points from a double-header last weekend, it looks as if the other teams in Division 13B are playing for second place.
And Bolton Woods Sabres did their chances a power of good with a 5-3 win at fellow contenders Bradford Horton Sports as they swapped places in fourth and fifth.
Sabres held the lead at half-time with a goal from Mckenzie Lister but the game was won and lost in eight second-half minutes.
Kaylum Johnson fired home for Sabres minutes into the second half, before Brandon Borza smashed in a thunderbolt free-kick moments later on his debut.
Theo Cokeright added another quick goal before a shell-shocked Horton replied twice to make it 4-2.
Lewis Melvin then scored a fifth for Sabres before, with the final kick of the match, Horton pulled it back to 5-3.
After a storming start to their Bradford & District Keybury League season, Dudley Hill Rangers' form has been indifferent since Christmas.
But they rediscovered it when needed most in the Under-11 Blue Division as leaders and defending champions Ilkley visited Newhall Park for a league and Champions League double-header.
Only a win for Rangers would have prevented Ilkley from retaining their league title – and the visitors started on the back foot, with the pacy Karlson Ogie giving Rangers the lead.
But a superb long-range, left-footed strike from Ilkley talisman Gonzales levelled matters before half-time and Rangers then missed a crop of second-half chances as defender Rhys Hadley kept the door shut at the other end.
With five minutes remaining, Rangers' Jake Softley fired wide from close range and then failed to get enough purchase on another cross as the draw that Ilkley needed loomed.
But with two minutes left, Spencer Dunk crossed from the right and Ogie's miscued volley dropped to the far post, where Softley toed the ball in for a 2-1 lead.
Cue hysteria on the touchline. Ilkley needed a quick reaction but Ogie scuppered their hopes by firing home low under the keeper to make it 3-1 against a team who have lost only twice in two years.
Ilkley still lead the table by a point but if Rangers win at Rawdon Rangers in their last match, they can steal the title.
Rangers' under-sevens gave Dave Hewitt a happy debut as coach as they won 8-3 at Leeds Maccabi. Goals came from Harvey Bostock (4), Lewis Windle (3) and William Schofield as Rangers ended their slump.
Bradford Park Avenue came through a physical battle at third-bottom Cumberworth to win 4-0 in the Huddersfield RCD League's Under-12 Division Two.
Mid-table Avenue took an early lead through Joseph Papworth and further goals flowed from Ellis Martin, Connor Chippindale and Clark Bolton, with Aaron Midgely being named man of the match.
In Division 5B, Avenue's B team took a first-half lead via Jack Craven at Elland B and kept it until midway through the second half.
However, having equalised, fourth-placed Elland capitalised on further errors against the third-bottom team to win 3-1.
