Bingley Barca, from under-11s Division B, lost 2-1 to recently-crowned D Division champions Horsforth St Margarets Broncos in the League Cup.
Two clinical finishes from Daniel Seymour ensured the Broncos remain undefeated this season.
Bingley had set up a tense finish when they followed up a saved penalty to score with 15 minutes remaining.
After a mid-season break in the Keybury Alarms Youth League, a return to action was put on hold for most clubs due to the wet weather.
However, Dudley Hill Rangers under-eights Reds travelled to Seacroft to play on Leeds Maccabi’s plastic pitch.
As well as beating the elements, Rangers edged a nine-goal thriller with a brace from Benjamin Gale and a hat-trick from Adam Morris in a ten-minute cameo appearance.
Man of the match was Rangers’ ever-improving Kayden Greenwood with a strong defensive display.
