Jack Leach scored four of the Wyke Wanderers under-tens goals as they blasted Lepton Highlanders 9-2 in the Huddersfield RCD League Cup.
Reece Clay opened the scoring for Wyke, smashing home Harris Cunningham’s pass from the edge of the area.
Leach quickly followed up with a 20-yarder and Jacob Smith soon made it 3-0 with a solo effort.
Clay and Leach extended the lead further before Wyke took a back seat for a few minutes and Lepton pulled one back before the interval.
But the second half saw Wyke back on the front foot as Leach added another goal and Hayden Clifford finished well to make it 7-1.
Leach then netted his fourth of the day and Cunningham wrapped up the scoring, before Lepton bagged a late consolation.
Wyke’s B team also progressed as they knocked out visiting Pudsey 2-1, with Kamran Latif and Freddie Downes on target.
Josef Storer claimed a hat-trick as Shelf under-11s returned to winning ways with an emphatic 8-1 victory at Kexborough in the Huddersfield League.
It was 6-0 by half-time and although Kexborough fought back well, they were restricted to just one reply by keeper DJ Edmunds.
Storer’s treble was backed up by Kieran Townsend (2), Lewis Fitzpatrick (2) and Alex Swinbank.
There was not such good news for the Shelf B team as they suffered a surprise 2-0 loss at the hands of Norristhorpe to halt a recent run of good results.
The Shelf players were made to pay for not taking their chances as Norristhorpe sealed the points late on.
BPA Raptors under-11s produced a storming second-half display to win 9-1 at Oakworth Wasps in the Craven League.
Vincent Henderson’s opportunistic goal was the only difference during an even first half but the Raptors then moved up a gear.
Henderson went on to complete his hat-trick and this was matched by Hebb, with Firth from long range and volleys by Brown and Roy Rushworth completing the tally.
BPA’s under-18s were also winners as they edged a 2-1 verdict against Silsden in a top-of-the-table clash.
Harry Hall and Josh Finan supplied the BPA goals, with Connor Frost named man of the match.
Dudley Hill Rangers teams had mixed fortunes ahead of the mid-season Keybury League winter shut-down.
The unpredictable under-eights, who either win or lose heavily, triumphed 9-1 at home to an inexperienced Albion Sports side as Adam Morris (4) and Luke Jeffreys (3) led the way.
The Rangers under-nines travelled to much-improved Campion and, with Jodi Tiffany in fine form, won 3-0 thanks to a James Hemsworth double and an own goal.
But the under-tens lost 3-1 at Keighley Shamrock Crusaders as they struggled to come to terms with the artificial surface and an inspired home goalkeeper.
Karl Kwedi struck a spectacular consolation goal late in the second half as Rangers swapped places with their conquerors, dropping down to fourth in the table.
Sutton Rogues under-12s grabbed a late winner to reach the fifth round of the FA County Shield after beating BPA Lizards 2-1.
The first half produced just one goal as Sutton controlled much of the play without creating clear chances to extend their advantage.
The Lizards opened the second half on top and rapid passing opened up the opposition defence, only for a tame shot to be saved.
It took until the closing stages for BPA to equalise with a Dominic Corps header from Kaylum Johnson’s free-kick and extra time then looked a certainty.
But then Sutton swung in an inch-perfect cross and a looping header clinched a dramatic victory.
