Niall Griffiths scored a late winner as leaders Dudley Hill Rangers under-nines beat third-placed Horsforth Chargers 5-4 in a Keybury League game which more than lived up to its billing.

Rangers fell behind three times, despite taking an early lead through Dominic Howard, but showed great resolve to emerge victorious.

A draw looked the likely outcome after equalisers from Griffiths, Spencer Dunk and Jake Softley late on before Griffiths added his second goal to settle matters in Dudley Hill’s favour.

There were also plenty of goals scored by other Rangers teams, with Joshua Whitford leading the way as the under-sevens won 6-3 at home to Burley.

Whitford struck five times as Jack Moffat added to the tally in an entertaining match.

Rangers under-eights netted six goals to continue the trend but unfortunately opponents Long Lee scored one more in a 13-goal thriller.

Dudley Hill hit back from 5-2 down to draw level at 5-5 and then 6-6 before Long Lee claimed a late winner.

Rhys Hadley, Callum Thornton and Dominic Parish scored twice apiece for Rangers.

Westwood Jets under-tens overcame a 2-1 interval deficit to beat leaders Keighley Shamrocks Warriors 4-2 and overtake them at the top of the table.

Jack Clarkson had given Westwood the lead before Keighley hit back at the double.

But Jacob Slator equalised straight after the interval and the Jets then hit the afterburner to win the game with further goals from man of match Lewis Dunn and Liam Wilkinson.

Leaders Bradford Park Avenue Lizards under-12s had no trouble extending their advantage to 12 points as they romped past Silsden 16-2.

It was 10-0 after just 18 minutes, with Jacob Dunn having opened the scoring inside two minutes.

Cameron Brewster scored four times and Alex Gibson bagged a hat-trick, with Lewis Melvin and Haseeb Alam adding doubles.

The game was restarted when double figures were reached, with a new-look Lizards line-up taking over.

Dylan Newsholme struck twice before Silsden pulled two goals back but Lewis Moorhouse and Stefan Giangregorio’s first of the season continued Avenue’s dominance.

Captain Jack Holroyd led from the front with two goals as Bradford Park Avenue Eagles under-12s beat Sutton 6-1 to maintain their two-point advantage at the top of the Craven League table.

Man of the match Zack Sangster opened the scoring after just two minutes with his 19th goal of the season and Holroyd’s 20-yard strike quickly doubled the advantage.

Sutton responded well, with the excellent Jordan Daniel crossing for Joseph Dearnley to volley home a reply. But the comeback was shortlived as winger Kian Hutchinson restored the two-goal cushion.

Josh Barrett’s corner kicks provided plenty of problems for Sutton and from one of these Holroyd made it 4-1.

Danny Frost saw an effort harshly ruled out for offside but further goals from Hassan Ali and Tyler Rhodes left the Eagles convincing winners.

BPA under-14s played out an entertaining 5-5 draw against Thackley Lightning after falling 2-0 behind as captain Ewan Pyrah won the man of the match award.

Mohammed Saqib and former Lightning player Niall Brahm levelled matters and Avenue moved 4-2 up through Hassan Quershi and Billy Enoch.

Ollie Raistrick made it 5-3 after Thackley had pulled one back but Lightning took advantage of sloppy defending to add two further goals as they drew level before the end.

BPA under-18s were 4-2 winners against Skipton thanks to goals from captain Jack Conroy, Harry Hall, Ryan Ward and Taylor Waddell. Man of the match was Matty Knights for an outstanding performance.

Jack Partington was a clear man of the match after scoring four of Myrtle Park Wanderers under-16s’ goals in a 7-0 in-house derby victory over Myrtle Park Thistles.

Chris Dauffy Wheatley (2) and James Celaire completed the scoring, while good work by Wanderers keeper Jordan Fletcher and defenders Shakeel Ashraf, Harry Taylor and Haydn Baldwin ensured a clean sheet.

Charlie Smith smashed home a last-minute penalty to earn Wyke Wanderers under-11s a good point as they drew 2-2 against leaders Almondbury in the Huddersfield League.

Wyke led 1-0 courtesy of a deflected goal from Sam Hartley until midway through the second half.

Almondbury then stormed in front with a rapid double but Smith had the final say.
