It did not take Alex Gibson long to blow away the Christmas cobwebs for Bradford Park Avenue Lizards under-12s.

He scored after 60 seconds in their 9-2 Keybury Junior League victory at Scholemoor Lions.

Haseeb Alam added a second 14 minutes later before Lewis Moorhouse made it 3-0.

Gibson added his second just after half-time and then there was a goal frenzy, with five coming in as many minutes, the first from the Lions after a lightning break out of defence.

Dominic Corps hit Avenue's fifth before Scholemoor got their second, and Cameron Brewster made it 6-2 from the kick-off, despite only being on the pitch for 30 seconds.

Corps completed his brace moments later and two quick Jake Wright goals finished the scoring, although Scholemoor's keeper pulled off two fine saves to deny Matthew Ham and Tyler Surtees-Matthews.

Dudley Hill Rangers under-nines were off the mark even quicker than the Lizards, Harry Norton curling a fine shot into the top corner inside ten seconds against Burley Trojans at Newhall Park.

Burley equalised from a free-kick early in the second half but Rangers' fitness told in the last ten minutes as Norton completed his hat trick for a tough 3-1 victory.

Man of Match was Kian Howard, who anchored the midfield well in the second half.

Baildon Dynamoes under-tens beat Horsforth Stallions 11-0 in a Red Division encounter with goals from Louis Anderson (4), Louis Turner (2), Charlie Menzies (2), Courbon Carr, Will Robinson and Ben Stevens.

However, man of the match was goalkeeper Nathan Hayward for keeping a clean sheet, aided by strong defending from Harvey Weston-Beyer.

Bradford Park Avenue Hawks finished clinically in their 2-0 triumph at Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League Under-12 Division A leaders Fairbank

Goals came from Danny Heggs and Liam Armitage in a full-blooded affair, but Avenue were helped by great performances from man of the match Levi Bowers and stand-in keeper Stuart Lee, who was behind a well-organised back line.

Albion Sports under-12s defeated Sutton 4-3 on a heavy pitch to leapfrog their opponents in a basement battle.

Sutton dominated the early exchanges, creating some good chances which they failed to convert, including a tenth-minute penalty, which was fired wide of the right-hand upright.

Albion then started to play some good football of their own and were rewarded with a penalty when Alfie Moulden was felled in the box. He took the spot-kick but also dragged it wide right.

Sutton opened the scoring late in the half but Albion responded with a Raheem Mohammed tap-in after a good move down the left.

The second half was end to end and very entertaining, with Haroon Isa putting Albion ahead only for Sutton to equalise within a couple of minutes of the restart.

Albion then upped their game and goals from Ibby Hussain and a superb solo effort from Kamran Ahmed put the result to bed before a late consolation for Sutton.

Jamie Clegg climbed off his sick bed to earn the man of the match award for under-strength Avenue in Under-18 Division C.

They won 4-3 at Silsden Reds with goals from Lewis Dickinson (2) and Harry Hall.
