Hit by some serious injuries and narrow defeats largely caused by indiscipline, Bradford & Bingley are still targeting a top-four finish in National League Three North.

"Tynedale are the only side this season to have shown they can notch a string of wins," said Bees' head coach Carlos Hassan, "but Leicester Lions are 17 points ahead of us so we won't catch them either.

"If we can finish in the top four, it will give us something to build on for next season.

"Anything less than that will be a disaster as we are trying to build a side that can push for promotion next season.

"But our away form needs to improve - I remember defeats at Morley and Beverley - and so does our discipline.

"We are being killed by yellow cards and the penalty count, and that has led to us losing matches in the last five minutes.

"Against Leicester Lions, we were 17-3 ahead and looking good for a comfortable win but then we concede two late tries and lose the match."

On Saturday, the Bees, weather permitting, have a re-arranged home match against bottom club Beverley.

Hassan said: "I am not bothered whether we win by three points or 30 as long as we win what is a must-win' game."

With Richard Tafa (hamstring) and Stuart Dixon (broken fingers) ruled out, Steve Brimacombe and Brendan Nolan form a new centre partnership.
