Bradford & Bingley bid to stop the rot in their home derby with Morley on Saturday.

Bees player-coach Neil Spence set a target for his side of winning their last three fixtures before Christmas.

They were all matches against sides lower than them in the National League Three North table but unfortunately the Bees have lost the first two - 25-24 at home to West Park St Helens and 9-8 at Macclesfield.

The Macclesfield defeat was their fourth in succession by seven points or less, the other three being to the last play of the game, and Spence said: "We don't want to get into that kind of niche.

"When we get a lead we should be looking to get the next score instead of trying to hang on to our advantage."

Spence has acted after being without his two first-choice hookers for tomorrow's clash.

With Iyran Clunis suffering an abscess on his throat which might mean the removal of his tonsils, and Peter Scott suspended, Spence has signed James Whitfield from Rich-mond. Another new boy is former Cleckheaton player Cam-eron O'Connor from Rother-ham, the Kiwi slotting straight into the second row.

With a decent crowd expected at Wagon Lane, the clubhouse will be open from 11.30am.

The Bees' cross-code challenge against Keighley Coug-ars is at Wagon Lane on Thursday, December 27 (2pm).

Admission is £5 for 16s and over, while under-16s are free and gates open at noon.

Half the contest will be played under union rules and half under league rules as per the Bees' match against the Bulls two years ago.
