ON A weekend of three derby fixtures, there is no doubt that Cleckheaton have drawn the shortest straw.
They travel to National League Three North leaders Huddersfield, who have won all 23 of their league matches and have an average of almost 46 points a game.
Cleckheaton's rugby chairman Neil Gillan said of Huddersfield: "They only need one league point to be certain of promotion and have a celebration planned.
"Our best hope of a point is probably via four tries, and if we do that we will be very happy.
"If we get within seven points and score four tries we will be overjoyed, and if we beat them we will be completely overwhelmed."
Cleckheaton, who are two places and four points above the third demotion place, will be without full back Ross Hayden and centre Lee Queeley at Lockwood Park, but Gillan added: "We hope to have them both back for the home game against Wirral a week on Saturday."
However, flanker Danny Vento has played his last game for the club due to working down south, while Hayden's future is uncertain due to work commitments and living in Bolton, which means that he can't get to training.
Hayden landed four of his five shots at goal last weekend in the come-from-behind 28-24 home win over Firwood Waterloo, and Cleckheaton's coach Scott Benton said: "If Ross had been available regularly through the season, we wouldn't even be talking about relegation as we would be in mid-table."
Bradford Salem host Yarnbury in Yorkshire Division One, and Salem's chairman Neil Klenk said: "More than local bragging rights are at stake as Yarnbury are in danger of being relegated."
Yarnbury did the double over Salem last season, but Salem, who have full back Danny Belcher and winger Nick Fontaine back, won 32-10 at Brownberrie Lane last November.
Baildon, who are without lock Tom Peel but have hooker Matty Dixon back after passing a head injury assessment, host Aireborough in Yorkshire Division Three.
Bradford & Bingley, mauled 65-15 at Percy Park last weekend in North One East, host cellar dwellers Wheatley Hills, and the Bees' director of rugby Martin Whitcombe said: "We had 14 players unavailable for various reasons and were forced to bring in some youngsters and was delighted with the way they played."
Bradford Salem (home to Yarnbury): D Belcher; N Fontaine, H Hall, C Wood, R Smith; A Robinson, M Booth; T O'Sullivan, A Veitch, J Bradbury, J Cunliffe, B Whitaker, J Booth, C Baines, C Manchester. Replacements from: K Brook, J Morrell, B Birkett, D Luxton.
