Flanker Neil Spence and centre Carlos Hassan are Bradford & Bingley's new joint coaches.
They replace Geoff Wappett, who has taken over as Hull's director of rugby following the Bees' relegation to National League Three North.
Duncan Barr, chairman of Bradford & Bingley's rugby committee, said: "Neil will continue as a player but Carlos is retiring to concentrate on his coaching.
"He will look after the backs and Neil will look after the forwards, and we are expecting Neil to be fit for the start of the season, despite his four broken metatarsals.
"The coaches will pick the team in consultation with the captain Barry Clark.
"We have a lot of oral commitments from players for next season and we now have to sit down with them and turn that into a written form."
