Beverley 69, Bradford & Bingley 7
There are few positives that Bradford & Bingley will be able to pull from a thoroughly abject SSE National League Three North performance where Henry Paul's men were second best in every department.
The Wagon Lane side are fortunate that there are three other sides in the division who are consistently as poor, which means the Bees are still just above the relegation places.
Maybe Beverley had tired of wracking up the points in the final 20 minutes as the Bees restricted the home side to a single score and also managed to get on the scoresheet themselves through James Morton's try, converted by Nick Wainwright - but the previous hour was all about an utterly dominant performance from the home side.
Flanker Joseph Pickets helped himself to a hat-trick, with scores after six, ten and 47 minutes, as the Bees never got any part of their game functioning.
Pickets was not the only Beverley player to cross three times as Robert Smith came off the bench to help himself to a hat-trick with five pointers on 27, 60 and 79 minutes.
The Bees seemed to consistently over commit men to the breakdown, which left too much space available away from the tackle area for the home side to gallop through.
The visitors do have a number of individuals who can clearly play the game well, but somehow the collective nous of the side deserted them far too often as Beverley were the better side from the off, and the 11 tries they ran in were a fair reflection of their dominance.
The Bees have a chance at redemption next week as they host Billingham, the side one place above them in the table.
