Wharfedale 46 Barking 5
The Greens belied their recent disappointing National League Two form with a seven-try demolition of bottom club Barking.
The cutting edge, missing in most games this season, was back. The reunited centre pairing of Chris Malherbe and Mark Bedworth - it was their first full match together this season - was the inspiration for a total team performance.
In a breathless opening, the Dalesman survived the concession of a kickable penalty after just 17 seconds, Malherbe following up scrum half James Doherty's break to touch down in the third minute, converted by Andy Baggett, and Barking winger Jon Marlin scored an unconverted try three minutes later.
The visitors had lock Pavel Denisuk sin-binned in the 12th minute after taking an apparent dislike to Greens lock Anthony Capstick and, just before he returned, winger Neil Baggett finished off a right-wing surge to make it 12-5. By half-time, the Greens were in the comfort zone, already in possession of a four-try bonus.
Left-winger Simon Horsfall scored after a thrilling sprint from inside his own 22 in the 32nd minute, and Bedworth hacked on Malherbe's well-placed lob six minutes later to touch down under the posts, Baggett converting and adding a penalty.
Malherbe (58 minutes), Neil Baggett (74 minutes) and Horsfall (80 minutes) all bagged their second tries, Andy Baggett converting two of them.
