Wibsey 11, Rotherham Clifton 10
Wibsey won their first home game of the season yesterday, defeating Rotherham Clifton 11-10 at Beldon Lane in SSE Yorkshire Division Five with a try by John Nall and two penalties by Elliott Gray, the last a pressure kick with two minutes to go.
"It hasn't been easy for the lads but they have stuck at it in training and this is their reward," said Wibsey's coach Dave Grayson.
"We trailed 10-0 at half-time having played up the slope first, and it was a good win as Rotherham Clifton were sixth.
"That will have sent a few shockwaves through our division, and it was a real pressure was that last one for Elliott.
"It was a messy night last night! Now our aim is to defeat Adwick le Street at home next Saturday to record two wins on the bounce for the first time in five years."
