Bristol 31, Leeds Carnegie 19
Leeds Carnegie only trailed hosts and table-toppers Bristol 26-19 with ten minutes to go in the Championship today but went on to lose 31-19.
Carnegie, whose seven-game winning run came to an end, were too often on the wrong side of the referee in a niggly match.
They managed a try by Joe Barker after 70 minutes which Tommy Bell converted to add to his four earlier penalties.
Leeds had Jacob Rowan sin-binned while Bristol’s Fautua Otto and Mark Irish also spent ten minutes on the sidelines.
