Bradford’s Georgina Roberts is an England heroine.
The Bulls fan, who plays for Darlington Mowden Park Sharks, was one of their try-scorers as they defeated New Zealand 21-7 at Esher to notch back-to-back victories for the first time over the Black Ferns.
The win, secured despite making 11 changes to the starting line-up, followed Saturday’s 10-0 triumph over the world champions at Twickenham.
Apart from winger Roberts, her clubmate and skipper Katy McLean and hooker Vicky Fleetwood also touched down for tries, with McLean adding two penalties to hand last year’s World Cup finalists a resounding win.
England next take on the Black Ferns in the final game of the series on Saturday, again at Esher (2.00).
McLean stroked over an early penalty, and Roberts got the first try after nine minutes.
After England picked up a loose ball, centre Kim Oliver executed ing a superb long range pass to Rachael Burford, who had the legs to set up Roberts.
