Leeds Carnegie have revamped their front row for tomorrow night’s big Championship clash at home to Rotherham Titans.
United States international Mike MacDonald returns to the starting line up at loose-head prop after playing the second half last week at Esher, and skipper Andy Titterrell opens up at hooker, with David Young coming in at tight-head prop.
On the bench there is a welcome return from injury for Danny Paul, the club’s longest-serving player, who is set to make his seasonal debut after recovering from hip and Achilles injuries.
He played for Otley at Nuneaton last Saturday in National League Two North.
Tomorrow is a massive occasion for Leeds’ former Cleckheaton flanker Ryan Burrows, who left the Titans last summer.
He was part of the Leeds squad that were beaten at Clifton Lane in September but Carnegie have won their last six matches.
Burrows said: “It will be another tough challenge – we owe them a performance after what happened at Clifton Lane but we have put six good wins together and we will be aiming to do that again tomorrow night.
“The rivalry will be there, no doubt. Andre Bester (Titans’ coach) will get into them this week because form goes out the window.”
