Ilkley officials are expecting a bumper crowd when England manager Martin Johnson opens their new clubhouse a week on Saturday.
Rugby operations manager Tom Gillon has been staggered by the amount of interest being shown.
Johnson is due to arrive by helicopter at 11.30am and will perform the official opening prior to the Dalesmen’s SSE Yorkshire Division One clash with Scarborough.
Gillon said: “I reckon it will certainly be our biggest league gate.
“It is going to be a big day for the club because all three of our teams are playing at home that day too.”
Meanwhile, Ilkley’s players are focusing on Saturday's visit to Huddersfield YMCA.
Coach Rhys Morgan, pleased with last week’s win over Pontefract, is expected to give a first full outing to back-row forward Brandon Hannam.
“He is big and powerful, and if he plays it will give us a chance to assess how good he is,” said Morgan.
Morgan has lots of back-row options and the former Sheffield Tigers player adds to the tough competition for places there.
The experienced Neil Spence is available again, and Morgan said: “We have Alastair Monks backs soon too to challenge Charlie Scott, Iain McKenzie and Liam Copsey.”
