Yarnbury 22, Bradford Salem 52 Bradford Salem came from 22-0 down at half-time to produce an emphatic win, which moves them into fourth place.
After conceding three tries in the first half, Salem played some scintillating rugby, scoring eight tries in a blistering 35-minute spell. With the wind at their backs, Salem played with renewed confidence in the second half as tries from centre Jonny Robinson (pictured) and full back Chris Savva, both improved by Robinson, made it 22-14. The visitors exploited space on Yarnbury’s left flank as winger Tony Williams scored from a clever kick-and-chase before the Bradford side took the lead for the first time. Romanian Lock Alex Savin took half of Yarnbury’s pack with him as he scored his fifth try of the season.
Salem then cut loose and began to score almost at will. Fly-half Mark Barlow touched down and, in the final five minutes, Williams crossed for his second before setting up two further tries for winger Danny Thomas. Barlow improved all three tries to seal an emphatic comeback.
