Old Grovians 85, Leeds Corinthians 0
With the temperature touching 30 degrees, the Old Grovians turned in a sizzling display, scoring 12 tries on their way to a club-record win.
They opened the scoring inside six minutes when a slick handling move saw hooker Matt Worrall cross the line.
Further tries from Dean Hogg, Ben Brown and Anthony Griffin – the latter two coming after good breaks from Tom Dalton – saw the hosts lead 31-0 at the break.
It continued to be one-way traffic after the restart, with Hogg scoring three more tries. Inside centre Adam Weaving crossed the line twice and Tom Whitehead, Jake Young and Griffin also touched down.
The only blemish saw Weaving pull his final conversion attempt, robbing him of a 100 per cent record in his match tally of 32 points.
