Yorkshire captain Rob Baldwin is set to interrupt his stag party later this month – because England are calling.
Although the official party has not been announced, it is understood that the Wharfedale No 8 has been selected by England Counties for their two-week tour to Spain.
The squad, which leaves on May 30, will play three fixtures, culminating with a match against the full Spanish side. Baldwin has already represented the XV, the summit of the community game, three times – twice against the French and once against the Irish.
It will be a busy summer for the former Otley player, who is to be married on July 9.
He is having to leave his stag party to join the Counties squad — but that is a small price to pay.
