Leeds Carnegie coaching duo of Andy Key and Neil Back have elected to make just one change to their starting line up for tomorrow's Guinness Premiership clash with Northampton Saints at Headingley Carnegie (3pm).

Samoan international Alfie To’oala will start at No 8 in place of Rhys Oakley, who is among the replacements.

Scott Mathie retains his place at scrum half, while young fly half Joe Ford is back among on the bench after missing last week’s 19-0 defeat at Gloucester with a back injury suffered in the pre-match warm-up.

Leeds’ head coach Neil Back said: “Northampton are in great form at the moment and are playing some quality rugby. They won’t be thinking about next weekend’s Heinken Cup tie.”

Northampton’s director of rugby Jim Mallinder is definitely expecting a stiff test.

He said: “Leeds have beaten some good teams at home in the past month. They have a solid core of experience and some good young talent. They will definitely ask us plenty of questions.

“We did not reach the standards we set ourselves against Wasps last weekend, and all of the players have worked hard in training to try to get us back to the form of previous weeks.”
