Baildon are hoping that the visit of Samoan international Fosi Pala'amo to Jenny Lane tonight can inspire them at West Leeds in Yorkshire Division Three on Saturday.

The 22st 12lb prop from Leeds Carnegie - the heaviest ever player in the Guinness Premiership - will spend an hour coaching the juniors and an hour with the senior players, giving them advice on line-outs and scrummaging.

Baildon, who are only out of a relegation place on points difference, field three newcomers.

They have signed hooker Danny Whiteley from Ilkley and centre Michael Philpott and front row Phil Cook, both from Old Otliensians.

In addition, Baildon are welcoming back former player-coach Hugh Gumbs and former skipper Nick Lister as they bid to triumph at their mid-table derby opponents.

Wibsey, now again under the coaching expertise of Andy Todd, open their Yorkshire Division Five C campaign at home to Pontefract Pythons.

On the bench for Wibsey is former hooker or scrum half Andy McDonnell, an employee of Todd's who has had his arm twisted' to make a comeback.

Having played all their Yorkshire Division Five B opponents home and away save Marist, who they face next weekend, Wibsey now play all the Yorkshire Division Five A teams once, starting on Saturday.
