Cleckheaton 12, Old Brodleians 0
It wasn't until the 80th minute today that Cleckheaton finally managed to subdue an Old Brodleians side whose oldest player was blind-side flanker Adam Jackson aged 23.
There were no points in the first half of this Fred Scott Memorial Trophy game, although Cleckheaton must have wondered how that was the case.
They came close to scoring three times as the half drew towards a close, most notably when left winger Mark Woodhead was denied a try by wonderfully committed defending from three tacklers.
Richard Piper eventually broke the deadlock with a try in the 53rd minute but it wasn't until injury time beckoned that Ryan Piper - a guest player from Heath - got Cleckheaton's second try, fly half Jonno Marshall adding the conversion.
