SSE Yorkshire Division Two: Goole 5 Bradford Salem 33
DESPITE going 5-0 behind when playing into a strong wind, Bradford were 12-5 ahead by half-time and did not allow Goole any points in the second half as they secured the Yorkshire Division Two championship.
Prop Simon Davies levelled the scores from a five-metre catch-and-drive try, and Conor Wood put them ahead with the second try after supporting a break from second-rower Rhys Green, Andy Robinson converting.
It only took the visitors three minutes to add to their tally in the second half, hooker Ali Veitch scoring for Robinson to add the extras, and he followed suit in improving the try of the match from flanker Joe Fawcett in a sequence of interpassing that covered three-quarters of the length of the field.
Conor Wood's late 40-metre break then set up replacement winger Alex Wood for the final try which Robinson improved, and the contest rather petered out after that as Salem's minds turned to the post-match celebrations.
