SSE National League Three North: Cleckheaton 48 Beverley 5
A FIRST-half hat-trick from Ross Hayden sealed Beverley's fate and helped Cleckheaton claim a bonus point in the opening 40 minutes. Sandwiched between Hayden's three tries, James Wilson also dived in at the corner, and Hayden added three conversions to put Cleckheaton 26-0 in front.
A fumble from the re-start which followed the hosts' fourth try created an opportunity for Beverley winger Jake Marin to go in for the relegated men from East Yorkshire's only score.
Cleckheaton continued the pressure at the start of the second half, and Mike Piper bashed his way over from short range.
Skipper Richard Piper added two further tries, directing the maul to the line before powering to the ground, and between this brace, Mike Piper added a drop goal. Hayden converted two of the tries for a final score of 48-5.
