Moortown 15
Keighley 13
A LATE penalty goal by home fly half Dion Fraser was the deciding factor in this hard-fought, close encounter.
Keighley led for most of the game but it was Moortown's forward power which finally won the day.
After Keighley full back Alex Brown's early penalty goal, Moortown took the lead through a try by No 8 Simon Sterenborg before Brown put the visitors ahead again with another penalty goal.
Before half-time, Keighley edged further in front when prop Craig Spencer burst from the front of a line-out and sent flanker Elliot Barker in for a try brilliantly converted by Brown.
Keighley were forced to defend for long periods in the second half, but finally conceded a try by wingman Jack Barnett, converted by Fraser to set up a tense finale, culminating in Fraser's winning kick three minutes from time.
Leaders Bradford Salem's match at Old Rishworthians was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
