KEIGHLEY welcome back Alex Brown tomorrow as they bid for a third straight victory and, unusually, a third straight clean sheet in SSE Yorkshire Division Two.
Graeme Sheffield's side backed up their 28-0 triumph at Leeds Medics & Dentists with a 31-0 success at home to Leodiensian.
"It is extremely rare to get two clean sheets anyway, and particularly in this division, but it is very pleasing," said director of rugby Sheffield.
"Danny McGee and Adam Horsfall again stood out but it was really our forwards that shone last Saturday, with the opposition saying 'what are you doing in tenth position with a pack like that?'
"Again, that is nice to hear. Obviously we would rather not be in the position that we are – but we are where we are. However, the aim is to finish fourth or fifth."
Leigh Sugden scored three tries at Leos but Sheffield was also delighted that Luke Carter and Elliott Barker crossed the whitewash.
"Elliott only turned 18 last September but has made the transition from junior rugby to senior rugby very well," he said.
Brown will figure at full back at Moortown tomorrow, replacing the unavailable Olly Mitchell, and Sheffield said: "It is good to get continuity."
Stuart Inman, who is recovering from a knee injury, and Brown (shoulder) played for Keighley Seconds last weekend in their 27-13 defeat at Selby Seconds.
But Sheffield said: "We don't want to rush Stuart back as he has had a catalogue of injuries. We just want him to get some game time under his belt."
Keighley (at Moortown): A Brown; Ja Atkinson, A Horsfall, D McGee, L Carter; R Wilkinson, D Needham; C Spencer, W Armitage, S Booker, M Hagyard, L Sugden, E Barker, S Minikin, J Hannah. Replacements: T Lowther, L Everett, D Smith.
