Dave Lister, who had an acrimonious split from Keighley – where he was joint head coach – last November, has joined Old Grovians as forwards’ coach.
It swells the number of former Keighley players coaching at Elm Tree Farm to three as Lister will work with director of rugby Martin Whitcombe and assistant coach Matt Gaffney.
Backs coach Dan Nulty completes the quartet of backroom staff for the ambitious SSE Yorkshire Division Three club, and Whitcombe said: “Apart from Charles Medley, who is going to work in London, we hope to keep all of our players from last season and, with the addition of three or four more players, we want to have a good crack at promotion next season.”
Lister, who will be reunited with his brother Mark, who is a back-row forward, took some line-out sessions for Old Grovians last season after he had left Keighley.
