Pocklington 20 Cleckheaton 43
Cleckheaton returned to winning ways with a six-try display of quality rugby.
Ross Hayden opened the scoring for the visitors with a penalty inside five minutes but his side were dealt a blow when hooker Ben Thrower had to leave the field with an ankle injury.
He was replaced by teenager James Crowther, who was making his starting debut for the club.
Pocklington levelled with a penalty from full back Charlie Allen but, as the half progressed, the visitors took control with tries from Andy Piper and James Wilson, both of which were converted by Hayden.
Pocklington hit back straight from the restart with a try from winger Tim Nixon, converted by Allen, and increased the pressure with a penalty.
Cleckheaton regained the upper hand as tries from Ollie Akroyd, Rob Afoa-Peterson and Ollie De-pledge, with two Hayden conversions, put the title-chasing side out of sight.
With five minutes to go Hayden capped an excellent display with a try, which he converted, before Pocklington scored their second try from Pete Massie, Allen adding the extras.
