Leeds Carnegie 62, Moseley 5
Leeds Carnegie went top of the Greene King IPA Championship after a blistering start against Moseley at Leeds Carnegie this afternoon.
Jonah Holmes scored after only 23 seconds and Leeds were 33-0 ahead after only 11 minutes as the Midlanders were blown away.
Winger David Doherty touched down twice early doors and he was followed by a brace from scrum half Craig Hampson, man of the match Alex Lozowski adding four conversions.
Josh Griffin got the sixth Carnegie try before half-time, the only negative being the sin-binning of Hampson for persistent infringements.
Moseley replied with a Will Evans try early in the second half but Leeds finished strongly in the final 20 minutes, adding four tries from Holmes, Lozowski, Doherty, for his hat-trick, and Ryan Burrows, who thus celebrated the signing of his new contract.
Lozowski converted two for a match haul of 17 points.
