Keighley managed to grind out a win to aid their prospects of avoiding relegation from SSE Yorkshire Division One.
After a scrappy start, the visitors imposed themselves up front, No 8 Leigh Sugden taking advantage of a five-metre scrum to drive over, Alex Brown adding the extras.
Fifteen minutes into the half, Acklam had a prop sent off, but this served to galvanise them into action, a deserved try for No 8 Ryan Kirkbride following, which was converted by Danny Ashton.
The second half was very much a forward battle, but eventually pressure up front told with a further two tries for Sugden.
However, Acklam forced their way back into the game, stretching the visitors' defence to breaking point.
Their efforts were rewarded with two penalties from Ashton.
After long periods of sustained Acklam pressure, Keighley took advantage of errors to gain good field position.
A dummy run from winger Sam Walker gave scrum half Ian Woodwiss a defensive gap and a try under the posts to gain a four-try bonus point, and Brown finishing the game off with the conversion.
