Power, pace and good handling were at the core of Cleckheaton’s 52-5 victory at home to a hard working but outgunned Sheffield side.
Three tries from skipper Richard Piper, a brace from centre James Wilson and a try each from Martin Woodhead, Matt Piper and Ross Hayden, supplemented by six conversions from Hayden, put the home side out of sight inside the first hour.
Sheffield tried to stem the tide and were rewarded with a try from skipper Tom Womack.
