Wath Upon Dearne 17 Keighley 9
Keighley pushed third-placed Wath hard before tired legs saw them concede three penalties in the second half, which proved the difference.
The first 20 minutes of the opening half were even, with both sides intent on moving the ball wide as soon as possible.
The deadlock was broken by a penalty from Keighley centre Ben Blackwell.
With half-time looming, Wath used their forwards well to assert continual pressure and gained a penalty for their outside half Andrew Appleyard.
A few minutes later, Appleyard added to his points tally with a well-taken try.
In the second half, Keighley withheld early pressure on their line before eventually breaking out to midfield.
Excellent hands from the backs gave new centre Alan Ebbrell the chance to break away. Although he was tackled by the last defender, the ball was quickly recycled into the hands of winger Adam Horsfall (pictured), who scored wide out.
The game remained at 8-8 until sustained pressure saw Keighley concede three penalties that Appleyard gratefully converted.
