After an impressive victory at Hemsworth last weekend, Old Grovians renew their rivalry with Leeds Medics & Dentists on Saturday in SSE Yorkshire Division Three.
Two seasons ago, Leeds swept to promotion in Yorkshire Four but in two thrilling, open games, Old Grovians managed to claim their scalp home and away.
Grovians’ director of rugby Martin Whitcombe said: “Last week’s win at Hemsworth was a good day out for the club against a team we have traditionally struggled to beat.
“It has given us all a boost. The rest week prior to playing Hemsworth came at the right time, enabling us to get some of our injured players off the physio table and back on the field.
“I’d like to give a special mention to our hooker Matt Worrall, who broke his leg against Bramley – one of the worst breaks I’ve seen. It was great to see him on the sideline, cheering on the team.”
Old Grovians (home to Leeds Medics & Dentists): C Blackhall, D Gullick, D Roberts, J Trenholme, T Dalton, J Greenwood, D Foster, S Robinson, T Whitehead, A Crabtree, J Strauss, B Brown, A Weaving, D Hendricks, J Yates, A Griffin, A Magee, D Copsey, D Nulty.
