Old Brodleians must shake off the disappointment of losing by a single point last week as they prepare to host old foes Pontefract tomorrow.

Late lapses against Scarborough cost Brods any reward as they were edged out 23-22 in the Yorkshire One clash, allowing their opponents to move two points ahead of them into fourth place.

But the Hipperholme-based club are determined to consign that blow to history as they look to improve on their current sixth position.

Pontefract are down in 11th but they are one of Brods’ longest-standing rivals and always provide tough opposition.

Tongan prop Tipiloma Kivalu will be available again and although James Brown is still recovering from his shoulder injury, his progress is being closely monitored.
