Old Grovians have only won twice this season but they've shown plenty of steel and resilience, and that's produced eight bonus points which sees them sitting ninth in the SSE Yorkshire Division Three table and gives them cause for optimism as they welcome two players back from a lengthy injury list.
Forwards Pat Guthrie and Charles Medley could both return to action at Goole on Saturday after sustaining injuries in the hard-fought win over Bramley Phoenix last month, while Jason Greenwood is expected to retain his place in the pack after impressing on his return to competitive action in last weekend's home defeat by Castleford.
Goole have been impressive this season, winning eight of their nine games, and they sit three points clear at the top of the table.
Their lone defeat came last time out at Leeds Medics and Dentists - by 13-5. At home they've been formidable, winning all five games and scoring 156 points in the process.
Old Grovians have proved to be tenacious opposition though this year.
Only once in their seven defeats have they been beaten by more than one score and, as Castleford will testify following their narrow win at Elm Tree Farm last week, if Goole do take their eye off the ball, then Old Grovians will be primed to cause an upset
