Bradford & Bingley are seeking more of the same as they host rivals Firwood Waterloo at home on Saturday afternoon.

Having eked out a hard-earned 17-13 victory over Stockport last weekend, the Wagon Laners are keen to continue climbing the table after a disappointing start to the season.

They face a Waterloo outfit who lie bottom of the National Three North table.

First-team manager Benji Pickin said: “We’re looking forward to Saturday’s game and are full of confidence after last weekend’s win.

“They are traditionally close matches between us and Waterloo and they are only two points below us in the table.

“Stockport came to us last week expecting to get five points, so we were very happy with the win. Now we need to build on that.”

The Bees will again be without scrum half Kirk Arundale due to a groin injury, while James Morton, Richard Tafa and Ben Greaves were all due to undergo fitness tests at training tonight.

Cleckheaton lie second in North One East as they prepare to host leaders Pocklington in a mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash.

After losing 12-7 at Huddersfield YMCA last weekend, Cleck are keen to reassert their title credentials.

Chairman Neil Gillan said: “We slipped up a bit last week because we had plenty of opportunities to beat Huddersfield but made some silly mistakes.

“Pocklington play a very dynamic offloading game by all accounts and it should be a good game.

“We’re hoping for a decent crowd, despite England’s rugby union and rugby league teams playing at the same time.”

Openside flanker Oliver Ackroyd and winger Martin Woodhead are poised to return.

Full back Adam Whaites returns to the Wharfedale side for Saturday’s National One home game with Cinderford after recovering from an ankle injury.

Dan Scarbrough, who was due to play for England Legends against Australia at The Stoop tonight, takes a place on the bench with his wing berth going to Christian Georgiou.

The other two changes to the team are rotational. Scrum half Matt Dudman and young flanker Josh Burridge are taking over from Philip Woodhead and Jack Barnard who are both on the bench.
