York 34, Keighley 16
York forwards dominated the early exchanges of this SSE Yorkshire Division One contest, and their reward was a try from second-rower Marcus Britland, but Keighley responded with a try from outside half and captain Danny McGee.
Although Keighley battled well, the York forwards forced them into their 22-metre area and, after a driving maul and a series of rucks, the ball was moved to big prop Will Dutton, who powered over to score, outside half Ben Johnson adding the conversion.
Keighley then raised their game and mounted a series of attacks, under-pressure York being forced into mistakes, Keighley centre Ben Blackwell landing two penalties, Johnson replying with one late in the half.
Visitors Keighley started the second half badly, a York defensive kick being mishandled and a kick and chase leading to a try under the posts for centre Eddie Bradshaw, Johnson tagging on the extras.
A few minutes later, a break out of defence by York gave supporting full back Alex Nixon an easy try.
Keighley, dominating territory, were undone when a further handling error in the backs gave Bradshaw his second try under the posts and a conversion for Johnson.
In the dying minutes, Keighley scrum half Ian Woodwiss burrowed his way over to score wide out.
