Rosslyn Park 51 Wharfedale 20
Wharfedale competed for the first 30 minutes of the match but finished on the wrong end of a heavy defeat.
They built on their good work from the previous week as penalties from Park’s Scott Sneddon and Dale’s Tom Barrett saw the sides level after even early exchanges.
Wharfedale went ahead after Park had been reduced to 14 men. Good work by Rob Baldwin gave Dale a line-out in the hosts’ half, from which good ball saw left winger Josh Prell (pictured) beat the defence and score in the corner.
Aaron Myers was then caught offside and Sneddon kicked the ensuing penalty.
Ten minutes before half-time Myers was also sin-binned for consistent offending. Sneddon was again successful to put Park 9-8 up.
From the kick-off, Wharfedale were awarded a scrum. The ball was lost and quick handling saw Park create an overlap for Dave Vincent to score a well-taken try.
Sneddon kicked another penalty and Park ran in a converted try to lead 24-8 at the break.
Wharfedale scored two tries in the second half. The first, which Barrett converted, came from Tom Davidson after a great forward drive and the second was from Myers.
Dale, however, spent most of the second half driven back by the home pack as the Londoners ran away with the spoils in one of their best displays for a long time.
