Former Otley player Luther Burrell will be added to the England squad for their summer tour following this weekend’s Aviva Premiership final.
Uncapped Northampton Saints centre Burrell (pictured), 25, will be joined by his 28-year-old clubmate Stephen Myler.
They have been called up following injuries to Alex Goode (shoulder) and Joel Tomkins (ankle) that have ruled the Saracens pair out of the Barbarians game and the tour to South America.
England head coach Stuart Lancaster said: “Luther Burrell and Stephen Myler have both played well in the second half of the season and they’ve both got a great opportunity to put a marker down for the future on tour in Uruguay and Argentina.”
Burrell, who was on loan from Leeds Tykes, played at Cross Green from 2007-09.
